ARPIN NEARS END OF DRIVING AGREEMENT WITH ESR

DENVER, N.C. (July 16, 2009) - Steve Arpin has had a successful rookie season to date behind the wheel of the No. 20 Toyota for Eddie Sharp Racing. Although, prior to the start of the 2009 season, both Arpin and ESR circled next weekend's event at Berlin Raceway as the final race for Arpin.

"Unfortunately, Steve has been unable to secure the necessary funding for him to continue past Berlin. He's a talented racer and we wish him the best," team owner Eddie Sharp said.

With the No. 20 Toyota vacant, Eddie Sharp Racing is actively seeking a replacement driver. ESR has quickly become the hotbed of talent within the ARCA RE/MAX Series, developing the talents of Scott Speed, Michael McDowell, both who have achieved status in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series. Justin Lofton, who drives the No. 6 team car, will make his NASCAR debut in August.

Cory Joyce

NEWTON, N.C.  (June 22, 2009) – Cory Joyce turned in an impressive performance, tying his career-best Limited Late Model finish of second at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Joyce qualified his No. 33 Chevrolet on the outside pole for the 35-lap Paramount Auto Group Night at the Races.  When the green flag dropped Joyce and pole-sitter Kyle Mansch proved they were the class of the field and pulled out to an impressive lead.

Cory stayed glued to the rear bumper of Mansch, but the No. 33 started to develop a loose-handling condition in the final laps, and they took the checkered flag just as they started, finishing second and first, respectively.

"The car was good tonight and I really thought I was finally going to get the win that this team deserves,” said Joyce.  “We got pretty loose at the end and I was holding it from spinning as much as I was trying to pass Mansch.  This was the first week I felt like we could compete for the win against a car like the No. 17.  I want to thank my crew and crew chief, Chuck Meyers.  These guys have helped us take this team to the next level."

NEXT UP:  Cory Joyce Racing and the Advance Auto Parts Limited Late Models have a three-week hiatus and will return to competition at Hickory Motor Speedway for the on Saturday, July 18, 2009.
