"I left Lakeland feeling very, very good about our stuff," said team owner Eddie Sharp. "We have some really fast racecars and I'm really looking forward to the race".
Drivers Ken Butler III, Michael McDowell and Josh Wise all took laps around the .75 mile USA International Speedway in their ESR Development Team cars. A spirited battle broke out between the ESR teams to complete the fastest lap of the test which resulted in both teams gaining valuable speed.
"Lakeland is a lot of fun to get around," said Michael McDowell, driver of the #2 ESR Dodge. "We kept pushing the 22 guys pretty hard to gain speed and they kept putting up faster laps. After taking a look at the data, we all made each other a lot faster".

The unofficial ‘race' between teams got pretty heated midway through the second day as speeds kept rising. The spirited competition ended with both crews excited about their chances on March 24.
"This is what the concept of a two car team is all about," said Sharp. "Our guys are so competitive, it was great to see them share information and push each other. With how our testing went, we are really looking forward to the race".
