Denver, NC. (February 21, 2008) – While most people were sound asleep in their beds at 4:30 this morning, ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Ken Butler, III was wide awake and driving to the Concord, North Carolina Bass Pro Shops. KBIII met up with professional angler, Janet Parker, who invited him to join her today on Fox News Rising for some fishing lessons in the Bass Pro Shops fish tank.

The Little Elm, Texas resident, who has held such honors as 2005 Angler of the Year (Co-Angler Division) and 2005 Big Bass of the Year Award, greeted the driver of the No. 22 Toyota with a huge smile and hot rollers as she got ready to go on the air.

“I think this could be a lot of fun doing some cross-over work with KBIII,” stated Parker. “Maybe he can drive my Aaron’s Dream Machine and I can drive his race car! How much fun would that be?”

Parker and KBIII appeared throughout the morning broadcast of Fox News Rising perched on top of the large aquarium. With the barbs removed from the lures, Parker showed viewers and KBIII how to maneuver the bait to entice the fish to bite. Parker and the Eddie Sharp Racing driver shared lots of laughs and thoroughly entertained Fox Charlotte’s Jon Wilson.

“This morning was a lot of fun,” commented Butler. “I would really like to thank Janet for including me today. I think I’ll stick to driving for Eddie and leave the fishing to her. I definitely need a lot more lessons! But I do like her idea of me taking her out on the track for a ride-a-long!”
