Meanwhile, somewhere in the desert outside of Laughlin, Nevada, ESR's Justin Lofton brought his Chevy Silverado Trophy Truck home in third position at Saturday's race. Racing continues on Sunday.
Justin Lofton: "We lost fuel pressure right from the get-go in the race. We just kind of fought it the whole race and did what we could. It probably actually worked out better that way. We’ll go back and rebuild it. We got in the first turn and it started missing and everything else. This is a hell of a race for a Trophy-Truck; this is what it’s all about."
"Our body is kind of torn up but we’ve got a body guy in the camp with us, so we’ll be all right. Tomorrow, we’re going to do the first two laps and kind of see how everybody is going and see how the truck is handling and then we’re going to let it rip."

"The weekend started off a little rough," George Jr. said. "It is a brand new car and we were playing with the bump stops and suspension settings. We now have a real solid car and we were able to use the last session to really get down to the fine tuning. We qualified third last year and this year we are hoping to go for the pole. We finished third last year and are hoping to finish the race two steps higher."
SCORE racing action begins today at 10AM and concludes tomorrow at 8PM EST.
The Rolex 24 At Daytona will be televised live on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. on FOX and then transitions to the SPEED Channel at 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Coverage resumes at 7 a.m. on Sunday taking it to the checkered flag with post race interviews concluding at 4 p.m. All times EST.
Lofton and George Jr will be taking on the 2009 ARCA RE/MAX series together with ESR teammates Steve Arpin and Craig Goess when the season kicks off at Daytona on February 7th.
