Craig Goess Jr. to Return to Championship Winning Team at Eddie Sharp Racing

Mooresville, NC (January 4, 2010) - Second year ARCA Series driver Craig Goess Jr. will be returning to the No. 81 Greenville Toyota of NC fielded by Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) and running fulltime in 2010. Competing in his Rookie season in 2009, Goess finished fifth in points with 2 top-5s and 12 top-10s. During the 21-race season, Goess raced to a career-best third place finish at Pocono Raceway.
"We're excited to have Craig back for another season," said Sharp. "He's a great, talented young man and the first driver to start a domino effect for ESR to build upon last season's championship run and compete for a championship in the 2010 season."

A Woodbury, N.J. native and current Greenville, N.C. resident, Goess previously competed nationwide in various levels of racing. The 28-year-old earned more than 200 feature wins at 24 tracks in the Semi-Pro and Pro divisions. From 2005-2007, Goess won 40 out of 48 entered events, claiming three National Pro Division Championships since 2001.

Moving further up the ranks in his career, Goess competed in the NASCAR Camping World Series East Division in 2008 running the No. 2 Greenville Toyota for ESR. In only 12 starts, Goess earned 1 top-5 and 3 top-10s, finishing 16th in points.

"I hope to get some wins under my belt in ARCA this year and look forward to working with ESR again," said Goess. "They're a great organization to race for and hopefully we can build momentum from last year into 2010."

Eddie Sharp set up shop in Denver, N.C., located just outside of Charlotte. Since beginning in 2005, ESR has become the "team to beat" after winning the ARCA Championship with current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Justin Lofton in 2009. With a facility that closely resembles a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, the ESR facilities contain room for four top-caliber racing teams.

In 2009, the four man driving team of ESR collaboratively scored a championship, 5th, 7th and 11th in season-ending standings. The entire ESR program, known as Team ESR to its employees, is dedicated and passionate for winning in ARCA and advancing its drivers further in their career to eventually run in NASCAR.

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (January 5, 2009) - Eddie Sharp, owner of Eddie Sharp Racing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards, and Carl Hartman, owner of the #41 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series truck, have taken advantage of their 20 year friendship to form Sharp Hartman Racing. SHR will compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the #41 truck with a driver to be named.

SHR will be an extension of ESR, moving from their Salisbury, N.C. shop to the ESR shop located in Denver, N.C. With Eddie bringing his expertise, shop and personnel and Carl bringing the truck equipment and experience in the truck series, they will be combining resources in an effort to take this new venture to the next level.

Owner, Eddie Sharp is excited about the possibilities this partnership brings, "This is a great opportunity to move to the next level and build a program that gives the drivers who go through ESR's ARCA program a natural step into NASCAR competition." Sharp explains, "My goal is to further enhance what we have built at ESR in the ARCA Racing Series; and it is a natural fit for me to work with Carl and help him elevate his program in the truck series."

Carl Hartman shared Sharp's excitement, "I have known Eddie for a long time and have a lot of respect for his success. Having found success on my own as a short track owner, I want to elevate my truck team to get to the next level. Hopefully, this will all start in Daytona."

SHR is actively looking for sponsorship to compete for some or all of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Jeff Goddard at jeff@goactiv8.com.
